Meet and Greet the GSE Team.

On 28th all the clubs in Region-7, joined together to meet and greet the GSE team from Denmark and Lithuania. RC Meenambakkam was the lead club under the guidance of the Assistant Governor of the region Rtn.C.R.Raju. The meeting was well attended and the interaction with the GSE Team was excellent.

Vocational Excellence Award

Vocational Excellence Award was conferred on Mr.Jairam, a visually challenged Chartered Accountant and Carnatic Musician. Mr.Jairam was the second visually challenged person to qualify as CA in the whole country. He cleared the exam in the very first attempt. He is also a talented vocalist, having many concerts, awards and recognitions to his credit. The award and the citation was presented to Mr.Jairam by DGE. Rtn.Venkatesh. Mr.Jairam was felicitated by his teacher, colleagues and Rtn.Ravishankar, Dist. Chairman for Vocational Services.

National Immunisation Day

Our club manned two polio drops administration booths during National Immunization Day. The club provided break fast and lunch to the medical and non-medical staff and also arranged for publicity through announcements using an auto riksha in the nearby areas.

National Sports Meet for the Challenged

Sixth National RYLA for the physically challenged was conducted on 10th Feb 2007, Saturday at the Nehru Park Stadium. View full report.

Rally against Child Labour

Our Club joined with an NGO by name Hands-in Hands, in conducting a Rally from  Marina to Gandhi Statue, against the Child Labour. Our Interact Club from Vidyodaya and RCC Vyasarpadi members also participated. In the evening a meeting was held at Chettinad School. DG Rtn.J.B.Kamdar addressed the gathering.

Career Guidance Seminar

A Career Guidance Seminar was held at P.S.Senior Secondary School,Mylapore for the students of 11th Standard. The uniqueness of the programme was ,all the spakers were the Alumini of the school. The topics covered were Engineering, IT, Advertising and Entrepreneurship. About 250 students Participated.
